Getting told about new leads

A lead is worth most in the first few minutes. Lead alerts make sure a new enquiry reaches you wherever you are, not just when you next open Camorna.

Before you start

• The phone or inbox the alerts are for, in your hand. Camorna sends a code to it and you type the code in straight away. If the alerts are for someone else — your office manager, say — do this with them, or ask them to read you the code.
• For text messages: a mobile number. A landline cannot receive a text.
• For WhatsApp: WhatsApp already working on that number.

Set up an alert

1. Open Settings → Lead alerts.
2. Under Destinations, choose where alerts should go:
3. Email — your inbox, for new leads and the morning note.
4. Text message — a mobile number.
5. WhatsApp — the same number as text, if WhatsApp delivery is turned on for you.
6. Enter the address or number. Camorna sends a verification code to it — type the code in. This proves the alerts are going to someone who wants them.
7. Switch the destination on.

You can add more than one, so that you and whoever answers the phone both hear.

Choose how often

Under Frequency, pick how often Camorna should notify this store:

• Immediate — every new lead, as it arrives. Best if you call people back quickly.
• Hourly — one round-up an hour.
• Daily — one summary a day.

Times follow your store's time zone, which is shown on the same screen.

Turning alerts off, or removing one

Use the switch beside a destination to pause it without losing it. To remove it for good, choose remove and confirm.

If something goes wrong

• The code didn't arrive. Check the address or number for typos, and your spam folder for emails. You can ask for another code.
• Alerts stopped coming. Check the destination is still switched on, and that the frequency isn't set to Daily.
• The wrong person is getting them. Remove that destination and add the right one.
