Set up Camorna on Wix

On Wix there is nothing to install by hand. You approve Camorna inside Wix, and it is connected.

Before you start

1. The Wix login that owns the site

Have it in front of you before you start — Wix will ask you to sign in part-way through. This is the email and password you use at wix.com to edit your site. Sign in there first: the sites listed under your name are the ones this login can approve Camorna for.

  • If you built the site yourself, you are the owner.
  • If someone else built it, the site may sit in their Wix account, even though it is your business. Ask them to approve Camorna, or to invite you to the site with a role that is allowed to add apps.
Security

Camorna never asks for your Wix password. You sign in on Wix's own page and approve there.

2. A published site

The last step is to open your site the way a customer would. A site that has never been published has no address for customers to visit, so choose Publish in the Wix editor first.

Steps

  1. In Camorna, choose Add your store, pick Wix, and type your site's name.
  2. Choose Approve Camorna in Wix. Camorna opens Wix for you.
  3. Sign in to Wix if it asks, pick the site, and approve.
  4. Come back to Camorna and open your live site in a browser. The "Check it works" step ticks itself off when Camorna sees your visit, usually within a minute.

Then connect an ad app to finish.

If something goes wrong

  • Wix shows a different site. If you have several Wix sites, make sure you choose the right one on the approval screen.
  • You are not the site owner. Ask the owner to approve Camorna, or to give your Wix account permission to add apps.
  • "Check it works" hasn't ticked. Open the published site, not the Wix editor or a preview. If you have not published your site yet, publish it first.
